The glory-red irish setters kennel was founded on love. With my love of these red ,funny and most beautiful dogs.
There was never any other breed for me!!!

I got my first irish setter in 1979. His name was "Putch". He was more "Human" than most humans I know. I had to put him down at the age of 13.5 yrs of age because of cancer. I was in such a state for the following 2 weeks afterwards, that friends were afraid to leave me on my own.
I decided then that "Putch" was my last dog. I could never again get attached to a dog and then lose it.

About 4 month later  a friend knocked on my front door. In her hands she carried a tiny-red head puppy-bitch and thats how my second irish setter came into my life.  I named her Jannie.

Glory-red kennel was founded on my love, but "Jannie" was the real start of it.   "Jannie" died at the age of almost 15 yrs of age.

When I deceided to start breeding this beautiful breed, I got a lot of help and advice from  the roks family of the "Hunters home "Kennel in Holland and from kess geysen of the "Chicken farm "kennel in Belgium. Thank you  !!!

Glory-red kennel could not be what it is today, without the help of two friends of mine: my dear friend adreene Lee from Manchester-who for months -back in 1996-looked  for the suitable puppies for me. That's how I got my gentle and loving int.ch.European Winner and il. ch. Dunnygask Texas,as well as "the queen" int. ch.european ch.il.ch.  Brinara Minervois.
With them arrived il. ch.cy.ch. Fearnly Fire Thistle-my most gentle "Tie".

Thanks  are due also to my friend-Zili-who for years shared with me her knowledge and showed my dogs in many shows in Israel and Europe.
Zili-is the one that brought me my "Jannie".

All the rest of how "glory-red" started is history.

We at "glory red" live happily together; all the Irish, cats, rabbit, myself and my young son-Tom Lee.  We live in the north of Israel on a very small "meshek"-(sort of a small farm).
Living in Israel-for me-means that I have to use the blood lines that I have at home or import dogs from abroad, when I want to expand the"bank"of lines I have.
So,5 years ago I imported from australia a puppy boy  "Pendoric Hell Razer" and a puppy-girl  "Pendoric Prime Thyme" both of them are il. ch.
and most beautiful as are all the dogs of the "Pendoric Kennel". Both "Tammi" and" Harry" come from grand aus. ch. lines.

Mixing the australian blood-lines with my dogs-who carry european blood-lines-proved to be the right thing to do.

Living in israel also means that at present you can not achieve the international ch. as there are no field trails.

Allow me a personal note:  i love my irish-setters.each and every one of them (at the moment i have 12 adults+puppies). My friends claim that i breed with my heart.but, thats me.

Hope you'll enjoy our website.
